In this dark but beautiful necklace, a tiny scrap of hand-dyed vintage wool felt in dark chocolate brown has been embellished with antique nailheads, beads and sequins -all at least 90 years old.
Lengths of vintage black chain are punctuated with re-claimed chain from the thrift, closing with a lobster claw clasp in an industrial style.
A vintage medal of St.Peter hangs from the bottom of the rosary plate, accompanied by a 19th century glass nailhead on a hand-made headpin. A heavy rough-cast heart in silver metal gives weight and interest to the chain.
Open, the necklace measures 18.5 inches with an extra 2 inches of chain ending in a vintage button, for extension length.
